This 3-hour online course discusses the basics of computing open-channel flow using the US Army Corps of Engineers program HEC-RAS. This program is available free from the Corps of Engineers and is a very powerful tool. It can be used to model water surface profiles in channels, through bridges and also model the impacts of culverts. This course provides step-by-step instructions in setting up the necessary files and operating the program.
