TARGET (The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology) Rutgers School of Engineering The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology (TARGET) is a summer program designed for middle- and high school girls to increase awareness about career opportunities in engineering. Note: Program Requirements TARGET encompasses six different, one-week long, commuter programs for a group of 24 girls each. Eligibility for each of the six programs is determined by grade level. The program is held on Rutgers University-Busch Campus from 9:00am to 5:00pm each weekday of the designated week. When selecting a TARGET program please note that classes are determined by current grade level.

TARTGET I (6th grade) June 27-July 1 TARGET II (7th grade) July 5-July 8 TARGET III (8th grade) July 11-July 15 TARGET IV (9th grade) July 18-July 22 TARGET V (10th grade) July 25-July 29 TARGET VI (11th grade) July 11-July 15. Transportation must be provided by the student’s family. Lunch and two snacks daily will be provided by Rutgers. The cost for the one week TARGET program is $350.

Sponsorship is available on a need basis upon acceptance into the program.
